Love this post Aiza, I have struggled with procrastination for so long.

So much so, I wrote about how procrastination helps instead of being a hinder. 😂

I have struggled with this type of thing for years, the down days used to sink me and make me give up and just say there is no point. Slowly I have realized that down days are just a part of my process they help me recharge I don't have to view down days as the glacier that will sink my titanic. And with this acceptance I have ended up having way less down days.

You are so right, Alex! I also consider my down days as a part of process!

So great Aiza !!

Nicely written - simple and clear.

I've started to fight this war. To sharpen the tools I have, I daily read 1-2 pages from this book. I believe it gives me an unseen armor to face the enemy for the day. Somedays I win. Somedays I don't.

But I've committed to becoming a professional.

And Procrastination and Fear are the two real demons I need to fight that bring the most Resistance for me.

Perfectionism really kicks my butt and is often the reason I resist and procrastinate. I've found just being aware as in "Oh I'm resisting this, I wonder what's up?" is often helpful. Often I'll work with it by giving myself permission to write a "bad" article or create a "bad" drawing. It can feel oddly exhilarating to create with the permission to really mess things up.

Right, Judy! Perfectionism can also be the reason to procrastination. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts on this as you gave me a new way to think about it.
